Canada introduces new entry rules

Citizenship and Immigration Canada introduced new requirements for entering the country: starting March 15, 2016, every foreign citizen travelingby air, must obtain an electronic travel authorization (eTA).The exceptions, in turn, are citizens of the United States, as well as tourists whose visa is still valid.The rules for entering Canada by land and sea transport remain unchanged.

It should be noted that international students who have received permission to study in Canada after August 1, 2015 are automatically issued an eTA.

The eTA application and all other prerequisites for entry can be completed on the Government of Canada website.
