An essential component of an electronics engineer is their ability to practice electronics. This course will consist of eight morning lectures per week, followed by laboratory sessions in the afternoon. The laboratory training sessions and exercises will provide you with many of the practical skills needed by an engineer. You will be taught the most up-to-date design skills using the most advanced design software on the market. You will therefore gain a high level of proficiency in a variety of design tools.

Assessment
The assessment methods on this course will be varied and will include written examinations, coursework, laboratory workbooks and demonstrations, and the submission of a dissertation. A pass is required in every assessment component in order to achieve the MSc final award.

Minimum Lower Second degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. First degree (Honours) in appropriate subject or Foundation Degree with appropriate industrial experience in the electronics industry. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
