You love inspiring and helping young individuals learn. You're enthusiastic about health and exercise. You want a degree that's hands-on and gets you out in to schools throughout every year of your degree. You would like a career that can take you anywhere. In FedUni, we will coach you on how to teach and you'll spend approximately a quarter of one's course having the heart-rate upward, learning and practicing the skills you'll soon start teaching. Together with graduating prepared to teach health insurance and PE in a second school, you'll also specialise in an alternative instruction procedure from english, history, maths, psychology, mathematics and outdoor instruction. Then, when you're looking for work, you'll have double the relevant skills to offer. Once you finish the degree, you can enroll with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. This qualification has a strong orientation towards developing vocationally relevant information and skills, through learning opportunities that blend theoretical knowledge with training. You will experience ongoing chance to set your university studies in to diverse and various'real life' training situations, preparing you for a wide selection of teaching contexts now and in to the future. Areas of study include: Exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor development and learning, fundamentals and foundations of health and physical education; health and human evolution, nutrition, physical activity, creative movement, implemented sports science, contemporary curricumlum layout, pedagogy and assessment for learning and teaching in health and physical education.

Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT); Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). Upon completion students will be qualified for enrollment with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and could be qualified to apply for specialist certification during Australia and over seas, but requirements for enrolling organisations in other states, territories or states could differ from the Victorian conditions. Teachers and students are eligible for professional memberships using the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). ACHPER offers members the chance to donate for their own profession through participation in facetoface and internet forums, seminars and seminars, and access other expert learning opportunities and tools.

  • Successful completion of Australian Year 12 with final-year mathematics courses
  • Or overseas equivalent. Academic IELTS with an general score of 7.5 with no less than 8.0 in listening and speaking, with no less than 7.0 in writing and reading.
