In todays competitive world, companies have come to recognize that their employees are their most valuable asset. Their profitability and competitiveness depends critically on the skills, knowledge and motivation of their employees. Given this fact, the human resource (HR) management function which is responsible for recruiting, training, appraising, compensating, and motivating these employees has assumed a bigger and more significant role in the firm and its strategy. Students attending this programme will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage the HR function and, thus, help make companies and organisations more efficient and competitive.

Aim

The programme aims to prepare and train business professionals who aspire to become HR leaders in their organisations. It will help them acquire the role of a strategic partner in leading, managing and developing the human assets of the organisation. In addition, the degree programme aims to provide an integrative framework within which the numerous organisational behaviour issues and variables can be situated and conceptualised.

Duration

The modular structure of the programme permits considerable flexibility in the time reuired to complete the programme. Some students are able to finish their degree in less than a year. Others with greater external commitments may require fifteen months and even more. The maximum of time allowed for completion is two years from the date of enrollment.

AS with all CIIM programmes, teaching here will lay stress on student participation, class exercises and student/teacher interaction.

Admission Requirements:1. A Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college or an equivalent professional qualification.2. Proficiency in the English language evidenced by graduation from an English language institution, or satisfactory score in TOEFL (not less than 550) or equivalent standardised language examination. A personal interview is an integral part of the selection process. The interview and certificates providing evidence of the above qualifications are used as a basis for evaluating candidates. In cases where applicants have graduated from unfamiliar programmes or universities, a GRE/GMAT examination score may be required.

* Fluency in English. We may ask participants who have not studied in a university where English is the official language to provide proof of English fluency, such as TOEFL, TOIEC, IELTS, Cambridge Advanced test scores
