USQ’s Bachelor of Business is designed to equip you with the knowledge required for your career in business, while also developing the skills essential to thrive in a dynamic and increasingly technology-driven work environment. The degree effectively combines theoretical study with practical applications and experience, culminating in the opportunity in your final year to complete a course in Work Integrated Learning where you will work with an organisation to complete a project.

In addition to your chosen specialisation of Human Resource Management, you can choose to study another area in-depth with a second major, or broaden your knowledge with a combination of minors and electives. These can be chosen from a wide range of business and commerce-related courses .

Human Resource Management offers you the potential to become a leading workplace expert on strategies and practices for guiding and partnering with employees so that the people working for the business are motivated to provide a source of competitive advantage for the business.

This is becoming increasingly challenging as workplaces become more diverse and place greater emphasis on work-life balance in order to recruit, retain and develop top talent. Your studies will cover courses such as organisational behaviour and management, staffing and remuneration, workplace health and safety, employment relations, people development, employment relations, strategic human resource management and leading organisational change.
