This course is aimed at students who are interested in a general career in marketing, for example as a marketing manager and may not want to specialise in one specific area.

Consultation with the marketing industry ensures this course delivers what employers want from graduates. It has been designed to provide you with a set of skills, knowledge and understanding, practical abilities and the confidence required by high-achieving marketing professionals.

It is our intention that you will leave Nottingham Business School sensitive to complex internal and external environments and seek to practice marketing in an integrative manner.

What is the Dual Award?

The partnership with the CIM means that on successful completion of the MSc Marketing course you will be exempt from a four point credit module in either the Certificate in Professional Marketing or the Diploma in Professional Marketing. The qualification you select will depend on the level of practical Marketing experience you have.

Term One

This term will provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge in marketing.

  • Strategic Perspectives and the Global Environment

  • Principles of Marketing Communication

Term Two

During this term you will focus on practice and specialise in areas pertinent to your course with one 'management' module and one 'practice' module.

  • Marketing Management

  • Driving Marketing Innovation

Term Three

The final term will see you putting your knowledge and skills into practice with a practical consultancy / in-company module. You will also study one further theory module alongside this.

  • Applied Consultancy Project or In-Company Project

  • Contemporary Perspectives in Customer Engagement

You will need an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above).One academic or vocational reference is required.English language requirements apply. Developed by Cambridge English Language Assessment - part of the University of Cambridge - it helps you stand out from the crowd as a high achiever. 75 (Grade B) IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. We are able to offer a number of competitive scholarships to both home / EU and international students through our Full-time Masters Scholarship Scheme. Our scholarships can cover up to half your tuition fees, and apply to all our full-time MSc courses starting in September and January.

Please note that these scholarships are only available to students who have been offered a place to study on their chosen master's course within the School.

The International Development Office at NTU also offer a number of scholarships.
