The Master of Science Arts & Cultural Management trains future managers who have a passion and interest for the arts by providing them with the knowledge, experience and skills required to work in cultural and creative industries, both at a national and international level.

By enrolling in this programme, you will gain first-hand experience in cultural event management via participation in several projects that you organize with your classmates. You will also acquire direct knowledge of the arts and creative sector through seminars and meetings with industry professionals.

This programme is based in Dijon, one of the most important cultural hubs in France whose historic centre has been listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Furthermore, our proximity to Paris gives you exposure to centuries of artistic movements, from baroque and renaissance to impressionism, avant-garde and contemporary design. Studying in this exclusive artistic ecosystem will give you the opportunity to advance your career in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, and cultural heritage.

The BSB Arts Management Programme (French version) has been ranked the number one Master in Arts Discipline in France. That curriculum has been applied to this English-taught degree programme, providing you with a solid foundation upon which to learn and evolve into a managerial position.

A unique combination of theoretical and practical knowledge

  • Visits to international companies based in France.
  • Organisation of a contemporary art exhibition or cultural event that teaches students how to work collaboratively with artists at all levels: management, communication, and logistics. For example, the International Festival in Besançon Excentricités in collaboration with the Institute of Fine Arts.
  • One field trip to a European capital city with specific study visits, conferences, events, and meetings with professionals to offer an international perspective on arts management.
  • A workshop with artists to develop a joint entrepreneurial project.
  • Creation of a Cultural Diary: to understand and analyse the current trends and challenges in arts and culture.

Academics

Applicants should have a non-French Bachelor’s degree (3 or 4 years) or 240 ECTS.

Tuition fees for the MSc Arts & Cultural Management is €14,000. This rate is guaranteed throughout your course and is all-inclusive covering tuition, academic support, campus facilities, conferences and field trips.

Scholarships for international students

For the September 2023 intake we are offering 25 merit-based scholarships for talented students coming from all around the world.

  • 18 Silver Scholarships (25% reduction of tuition fees)
  • 7 Gold Scholarships (50% reduction of tuition fees)
