The Master of Physiotherapy (subject to accreditation) is just a two-year, graduate-entry degree leading to qualification for enrollment as a physiotherapist in Australia. Innovative and practice-based in approach, the course's core areas of study include musculo skeletal, sport rehab, neurological, orthopaedic and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, across the lifespan. Gerontology, occupational health and paediatric components are incorporated as well as chances to learn about professional training, inter-professional team work, leadership, quality assurance and to attempt a research project. This new course is in the advanced stages of certification by the Australian Physiotherapy Council. The certification process applies to all physiotherapy classes to ensure superior instruction and adherence together with AHPRA requirements for registration as a physiotherapist in Australia. New classes must achieve certification before commencing the application.

  • Completed a UTS recognised bachelor degree in health, science, exercise and human movement, or equivalent or higher qualification, or filed additional evidence of general and professional qualifications which shows potential to pursue graduate studies. Entrance is competitive and assessment relies on grade point average (GPA). Applicants should also have completed the following prerequisites in a tertiary degree within the last 10 years: human body

  • Psychology. Students should have completed an approved degree in health science or practice science from UTS or another university, with a GPA of 5/7 or a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65. Students must provide proof requirement subjects to be able to gain entry into the program.
