Project description

Within the framework of the Open Research Area for Social Sciences, a post-doc research project entitled “Finding appropriate and original solutions: An investigation into personal and situational factors that influence motor problem solving and creativity” is available at the Department of Human Movement Sciences. The research project focuses on how motor creativity (i.e., the ability to find appropriate and original solution to motor problems) changes with motor development and learning. The research project is part of collaboration with the Institute of Cognitive and Team/Racket Sport Research at the German Sport University Cologne. 
 

Job description

Within this research project, the post doc will be responsible for designing and conducting research that addresses personal and situational factors that mediate motor creativity. To this end, the post doc will perform and report a series of developmental and learning studies, which will include the collection and analysis of large sets of kinematic data. The post-doc will also be responsible for the collaboration and coordination with a twin-project of our partner in Cologne, Germany.

Requirements

The post-doc should hold a PhD in human movement sciences or a related (bio-)psychological discipline. The candidate must have a demonstrable interest in (motor) learning, and experience in analysing large sets kinematic data, preferably cluster analysis.

Salary

The gross salary is € 3.168,- bruto per maand (schaal 10.5) based on a full-time employement.
