On the other hand, researchers in the field of applied psychology focus on applying psychological knowledge in real situations. Clinical and counseling psychology and industrial and organizational psychology are considered to be in the area of applied psychology. There is a wide range of specialty areas in psychology including human physiology, cognition, personality, developmental psychology, social behaviors, and abnormal behaviors. The faculty members of the Department have been actively eng_1aged in teaching and research on a wide range of topics such as recognition, personality, biology, organizational psychology, clinical psychology, psychometrics, social psychology, developmental psychology, linguistics, and Neuroscience. Diverse research methods, such as laboratory experiments, psychological testing, observations, and quantitative analysis are employed in research with a special emphasis on laboratory experiments.
