The curriculum covers all aspects of software production: mathematical, methodical, economic, legal, marketing and managerial basis, best international knowledge and practices of software production.
An important part of the educational process is developing teamwork skills in an environment typical for software development along with participation in real team projects, practical training and internships in leading Russian and Western companies which develop, consult and manage software projects.

During the first year all students of the System and Software Engineering master’s programme study a unified curriculum without specializations. All disciplines are taught in English. The purpose of this is to prepare students for the opportunity to obtain further education at the Eindhoven University of Technology TU/e (Netherlands), as well as the creation of an environment for student mobility as part of the Bologna convention. The split into specializations takes place after the first year and depends on the student’s requirements and the results of the first-year studies according to the cumulative rating programme.

The master’s programme involves industrial training – full-time practice in leading IT companies, including partner companies. Agreements on vocational training have been signed with Microsoft, EPAM, CyberPlat, PMSOFT group, DialogNauka, International Center for Informatics and Electronics, ROSECO, TEKAMA and others.

As part of the double-degree programme, practical training and preparation of master’s theses is planned in Eindhoven companies such as Philips, DAF, ASML, VDL, FEI Company, TomTom and others.
