Designed for practicing managers, the IEDC Presidents' MBA is a professional degree program and is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), International Quality Accreditation (CEEMAN), and as a Bologna-level professional masters degree.

The study closely follows that of the Executive MBA but offers you the flexibility of longer period of time in which to complete the program.

The Presidents' master in Business Administration (MBA) Program, which is designed to reflect the senior responsibilities and time constraints of participating top executives, prepares them for top management responsibilities in today's dynamic organizations. It provides the same rigorous academic approach, coverage and practical relevance as the one- and two-year programs, but participants can schedule course work more flexibly, and they are offered special coaching sessions with individual professors who guide overall progress, advise on appropriate reading, and deal with individual situations.

Project work, an integral part of the Presidents' MBA, is individually defined and focuses on the key business and managerial issues of participants' companies. Under the close guidance of a member of the IEDC international faculty, each PMBA participant prepares an analysis of and a solution to a particular business or managerial problem of major relevance to his or her own company.

The average age of the Presidents' MBA participant is 38 and on average they have 13 years of working experience. Among our alumni, 50 per cent of the graduates held a top management position upon entry; following their graduation, this number increased to 70 percent, with 30 percent remaining in senior management.

The contents of the Presidents' MBA program parallel those of the One- and Two-year Executive MBA programs; just as with the EMBA, the PMBA covers functional and strategic management, skills training and project work. As in the case of the EMBA, the program is taught in English by visiting faculty from leading business schools across the world. However, the PMBA provides greater flexibility in program duration and scheduling, allowing even busy top executives to complete an MBA degree. The program has to be completed within a three year period and can be split up in smaller modules - with minimal disruption to daily work. The modular system enables you to immediately apply the newly acquired knowledge and skills to your job and enables your company to benefit from their investment in you.

To meet the challenges of leadership of those holding the highest managerial positions a very special course, called RoundTables for Practising Managers, is made part of the Program. RoundTables are a week long course, where EMBA students from a consortium of business schools from all continents come together to learn to better observe, reflect and improve their process of decision making. This course is designed and delivered by Jonathan Gosling and Henry Mintzberg, each year on a different location, in the countries of participating schools. In 2011 it will be held in Mexico. It is possible to start the Presidents' MBA at any point during the year. For every candidate we design his/her individual schedule of attending courses and project work over maximum of three years time. Each candidate gets a mentor who is guiding him/her through the project work, which is a kind of a final work. Personal schedule is designed after formal interview that every candidate has with the PMBA Program Director or Academic Director which is part of the admission process.

Every application is evaluated on a range of criteria including work experience and professional performance, academic records, proficiency in English, professional recommendations, an international outlook, strong motivation, and demonstrated leadership potential. Work Experience At least 3 year(s) of work experience is required.
