Internship from the American consulate

The US Consulate offers internships to young professionals from Russia who wish to develop in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. The internship is sponsored by the US Department of Education and Culture .

The program provides young professionals from Russia with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in the context of US politics. The program includes short internships with various American organizations.

The program is 6 weeks long and will begin on October 10, 2017.

The main objectives of the program are to increase understanding of the relationship of US policy to innovation and entrepreneurship, and to build partnerships between innovation institutions in the US and Russia.

The Consulate provides benefits to women, minorities and people with disabilities.

Requirements for candidates

  1. Applicants for the program must be born between November 17, 1981year and October 10, 1992.

  2. Applications are accepted only from citizens and residents of Russia.Applications from persons with Russian citizenship who have lived abroad for a long time may be rejected;

  3. Applicants must have a university degree (bachelor's degree);

  4. Applicants must have relevant professional experience;

  5. Excellent command of English is required. The consulate may offer successful candidates to take the TOEFL test for free if it (or similar tests) fails.The minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 500 (for the written test) and 60 (for the online test).

An application for participation in the program can be made on the official website. It includes filling out a questionnaire and sending letters of recommendation, educational documents, resumes and essays.Applications are accepted until April 7, 2017.
