Full-funded global change leaders internship 2017 in Canada

 The Global Change Leaders Internship (takes place annually since 2011) is a seven-week education program for women’s leadership support organized by Coady Institute, St. Francis Xavier University, Canada. The Internship makes possible for women from developing countries to strengthen their leadership capacities in order to lead their organizations and communities to innovative changes. The interns will have an opportunity to acquire a range of experiences through a shared learning environment with other emerging and accomplished women leaders from around the world, creating a lifelong network of support.

Deadline: November 15th, 2016.

Open to: emerging women leaders from developing countries all over the globe.

Scholarship: Full-funded (travel, tuition, accomodation and meal expenditures).

Eligibility:

  • Women must have at least five years of demonstrated leadership experience in a social or economic development area (such as livelihoods or inclusive economic development, food security, environment, access to education and health care, governance, political engagement of women and the rights of girls and women);

  • Applicants must have great passion for their work, demonstrated through their outstanding contributions in their organizations and communities;

  • Women should engage in civil society organizations, or be active in some donor/philanthropic agencies or social movements;

  • Applicants must hold a university degree or a combination of post-secondary education and experience;

  • Strong oral and written English language competencies.

Application requires: completing the six page application form with up-to-date information regarding 1) your current employment and relevant volunteer work, education; 2) your sponsor organization; 3) names and contact information for two referees who can attest to your eligibility for the program.
