Scholarships in Ireland

Ireland is not as famous in terms of education as many European countries, including Germany, Great Britain and others. But it's still worth taking a closer look at this country. We propose to figure out why it is interesting for a student and what scholarships you can get.

Why Ireland?

In addition to the fact that Ireland has an English-speaking population, a high standard of living and security, there are certain reasons that attract applicants.

First, this country is good in terms of career prospects. There are many companies that are known all over the world, such as Google or IBM. In Ireland, researchers work with multinational companies and start-ups.

Second, education is given a lot of attention in the country: the government invests more than $ 782 million annually in research in Ireland, which leads to an increase in new programs at universities. There are currently 34 higher education institutions in Ireland offering over 5,000 study programs in a variety of fields.

Should you consider partial scholarships?

Yes, definitely worth it, because you can earn extra money while studying. International students whose study program lasts more than a year do not need to apply for a special work permit. A student can work no more than 20 hours a week, and in June, July, August, September and during the winter holidays - 40 hours. The minimum wage in Ireland is € 9.15 per hour.

Internships during training are also permitted. However, they should be provided within the program, not take more than 50% of the study time, and the place of internship should correspond to your profile.
