Sports Scholarships for PhD Students

Leeds Beckett University in the UK provides several scholarships for students seeking a PhD in Sports, Physical Activity and Recreation. The program lasts three years. The scholarship covers the tuition fees for the entire period of study, and students are also provided with an annual payment of £14,553. However, students from non-EU countries will have to cover the difference between the tuition fees for local and foreign students on their own. This amount is around £ 7,700 annually.

Successful candidates will be able to pursue their research projects at one of the five research centers of the Institute for Sports, Physical Activity and Recreation. The university's research is interdisciplinary, and students are also expected to work on topical issues related to sports and physical activity.

Criteria for the selection of candidates

Applicants for the scholarship will be selected according to the following criteria:

Applications will end on May 1 for the rugby club and May 22 for all other candidates.Successful candidates will be invited for interviews in July.
