Description

In coming years, school districts face a projected shortage of executive level school administrators and leaders. The Leadership in Educational Administration Doctorate Program at the University of Florida’s College of Education is dedicated to filling the projected “leadership gap” by educating skilled professionals in school administration.

A school administrator has a vital influence on the lives of children. Academic training and practical application are essential in the educational experience of school leaders. Innovative in design, the LEAD Program assists leaders in meeting the state’s current and future state, local and national administrative needs.

The School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in Education (HDOSE) in the College of Education is dedicated to developing and improving leadership in a variety of educational settings, and among diverse populations. We expect our graduates to be technologically competent, to believe in the worth of human learning and to advocate for the needs of students. Our graduates respect the needs of all people to continue learning, and they demonstrate the value of collaboration and reflective practice in the day-to- day pursuit of their professional responsibilities.
