The graduates have mastered scientific methods of research and development in the sphere of dimensioning and design of machine parts, with respect to production conditions, operation and recycling. They are capable of independent and team scientific work and scientific formulation of technical tasks. They can create complex models for analysis and synthesis of machine parts, creatively develop and utilize systems of computer aided design and they have up-to-date knowledge in design methods. They possess knowledge of modern construction material properties which they can apply from the perspective of technology, ecology and economy requirements. They are acquainted with optimation methods, probability theory, stochastic dimensioning and experiment planning. They can work as heads of development departments, chief designers or design engineers.
