Description

Everywhere you turn, virtually everything you use, the things you own, the things you drive, things you covet; a designer has had his or her hands on it. Why are some products or vehicles so much more desirable, innovative and successful than others? You have your suspicions, because you are an ideas person with a passion for problem solving and innovation, and you would love to put those ideas into practice - whatever the product - mobile phones, watches, scooters, headphones, sunglasses, mascara wands, perfume bottles, fitness monitors, sustainable packaging, sports trainers. The list is endless.

This award winning course is just what you have been seeking. Its aim is to help you to become a professional designer capable of realising your creative design ideas as an employee or through your own creative enterprise. You will develop the technical know-how to identify problems, develop ideas both physically and digitally and produce finalised designs for mass production. The course has a vocational emphasis based on long established industry links, which results in valuable exposure to live commercial projects, and which underpins an excellent graduate career record. In addition the course has a global presence through its unique association with INDEX: Design to Improve Life
