This course provides an innovative response to the challenges of the environmental, economic and social climate of the early 21st century. You will engage in the full depth and breadth of contemporary architectural education whilst also participating in interdisciplinary work with other building and construction courses.

Course Content
This is a course which brings together arts and the humanities with science and technology.
In the first two years of study you will cover the fundamental areas of architecture including: design, technology, cultural context and communication.
In the third year of study you will undertake a comprehensive design project that incorporates the core subjects of design, technology and environment as well as learning about professional duties and context of the practice of architecture.You will also work with other professions on an integrated design and construction project.
The core learning environment for the architecture course is the design studio, where, supported by regular lectures, seminars and your own self study you will be guided in your studies and receive feedback on your work, through tutorials and reviews.You will work on projects based on real-world problems from industry, commerce and research groups, in response to issues current in wider society, as you would in professional practice; this will mean that you develop the professional and intellectual skills of an architect at the same time as you learn the technical content of your degree.

Funding
Merit Scholarship SchemeMerit Scholarship scheme: £1,000, in year one only and based on academic performance.
- Available to all international students applying for full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Coventry University.
- Scholarships are allocated on the basis of academic merit. (Postgraduate applicants must hold 2.1 or equivalent, undergraduate applicants must hold A-levels or equivalent at grades BBC)
- There is no separate scholarship application process: all undergraduate applications from self-funded international students from any non-EU country and postgraduate applications from international, will automatically be considered for a merit award. You will not have to do anything, if you are successful you will be notified in due course by the International Office.
