Description

The environment in which business conducts its affairs is more open to scrutiny than ever before. This scrutiny has brought with it an unprecedented rise in legal regulation across all sectors and an increasing need for organisations to meet, and prove they have met, compliance requirements. As more organisations become subject to regulatory and legislative control the demand for suitably qualified professionals in this challenging but rewarding field is growing.

The first of its kind in Scotland, our exciting new programme will prepare you for a career in this growing area of legal regulation and risk management. You will develop both the business and legal risk expertise to pursue career opportunities worldwide.

You will study risk management and law, understand the regulatory and legal frameworks in which organisations must operate and gain the knowledge and skills to put in place sound risk management processes and procedures to ensure demonstrable compliance.
The programme covers a broad range of legal and regulatory risks ranging from whistle blowing to bribery and corruption, money laundering to conduct and ethics, contractual and non-contractual risk to intellectual property right risk, alongside the risk management strategies and frameworks to implement appropriate corporate solutions.
If you have a keen and enquiring mind and enjoy problem solving this programme can take you into a challenging and rewarding career breaking down and interpreting complex legal and regulatory problems to ensure the risks associated with non-compliance are controlled.
