In this two-year research programme you will get the perfect training to work as an energy science specialist. You will study energy use, energy technologies and energy and climate policies.

The programme aims to educate students to be able to contribute to the transition towards sustainable energy systems. As a graduate you will do consultancy work of provide strategy and policy advise. Students with a background in science or engineering are welcome to apply. This programme gives you detailed insight into the development of energy use over time, into current and future energy technologies (including renewable energy), such as solar cells, biomass and wind, and into bio-based materials and energy and climate policies. Typical questions addressed in the Master's programme Energy Science are: * What is needed to drastically improve the efficiency of energy use in society? * How can we use biomass as an energy source without compromising our food supply? How can we integrate large volumes of intermittent renewable energy in electricity systems?
