USQ’s Master of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) is ideal for graduates from any discipline who are looking to develop their mathematics/statistics knowledge and skills. Even if you haven’t studied in some time, this degree will provide you with a broad education in mathematical and/or statistical techniques and problem solving skills.

  • 3-year bachelor degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university
  • have knowledge of mathematics at least equivalent to that found in MAT1102 Algebra and Calculus I and have appropriate communication skills equivalent to those covered in CMS1000 Communication and Scholarship.

English Language Requirements

Domestic and international students from a non-English speaking background are required to satisfy English Language requirements. This program requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
