The objective of this Master's programme is to provide knowledge and skills to enable students in the development and operation of safe, reliable and easily maintainable systems. You will learn how products and systems can be used safely, and how technical faults can be avoided. Furthermore, you will learn how to plan and cost-effectively perform maintenance. The language of instruction is English.

This programme is unique in Scandinavia and builds on long experience from industry projects, teaching and research. The study is suited for people who like to identify and solve problems, have analytical skills, can work structured and systematically, and enjoy both theoretical and practical problems.

This programme is open to students who have either:completed three years of an engineering programcompleted an engineering college ("ingeniØ?rhØ?gskole") in NorwayHave a similar education from outside Norway [equivalent to a bachelor degree, or 180 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS )]For English languague requirements, please see http://www.ntnu.edu/studies/langcourses/languagerequirements
