Programme presentation

The programme provides a solid platform for independent research and the application of new knowledge within the field of molecular medicine. The programme focuses on understanding disease mechanisms, particularly for the most common and widespread diseases, which may lead to the future development of methods for diagnosis and treatment of these diseases.

Career opportunities

The programme provides a solid foundation for graduates wishing to continue with studies at the doctoral level (PhD). It also provides possibilities for a career in the field of research, or for research-related occupations, both within academia or the life science industry.

About programme

The programme focuses on basic biological knowledge and how it is used to drive medical developments forward.

The first part of the programme provides a general, advanced biomedical base. Students may then develop a more personalised study through deeper exploration of one of KI’s research areas, by taking elective courses and/or performing independent research projects.
