The MS in Engineering Management is designed for graduate engineers and scientists aspiring to advance into management careers within technological organizations. The UA College of Engineering provides online distance learning opportunities for master degree programs. These programs are designed with the flexibility needed for people unable to attend on-campus classes and working professionals, including choice of programs and on-demand availability, in addition to real-time access to lectures.

Students select from one of the following 3 options:

1. Project Option- Either a 3 or 6 credit Project may be selected with approval of the faculty advisor.

The remaining elective credits for a total of 30 credit hours will be selected with the approval of an advisor and the Graduate Study Committee.

2. Thesis Option- Students may choose to write a 6 credit hour thesis with approval of the faculty advisor.

Students will either defend their thesis on campus or will have to arrange for a teleconference defense.

The remaining elective credits for a total of 30 credit hours will be selected with the approval of an advisor and the Graduate Study Committee.

3. Coursework Option- A total of 33 credit hours are required for this option.

At least one 3 credit hour course must be completed at the 600 level with a grade of “B” or above.

The remaining elective credits will be selected with the approval of an advisor and the Graduate Study Committee.

The MS Engineering Management is a minimum 30 credit hour graduate degree.The following 18 credit hours are required courses in the major for all options below:SIE 514 Law for Engineers & Scientists3 unitsSIE 515 Technical Sales & Marketing SIE 522 Decision Making Under Uncertainty SIE 557 Project Management SIE 567 Financial Modeling for InnovationENTR 500A Technology, Entrepreneurship & Commercialization English Language Requirements TOEFL paper-based test score : 550

Accreditation
