The core curriculum of the University of Newcastle’s Master of Engineering Management explores the broad, theoretical concepts within engineering project management, organisational behaviour and design and engineering economical analysis.

You will learn foundation principles in the commercial, financial and marketing aspects of engineering projects as well as how to manage engineering resources whilst maintaining ethical professionalism. This is further supported by an in-depth study of the theoretical and conceptual issues which influence human behaviour.

To round out the core curriculum, you will learn how to apply your knowledge of mathematics, economics and engineering principles to solve engineering problems along with the ability to understand the major capabilities and limitations of cash flow analysis for evaluating proposed capital investments.

Further to the core courses, you will select courses from a prescribed list enabling you to refine your studies to suit your educational objectives.

A four year bachelor’s degree in an engineering or cognate discipline (as determined below); orAn undergraduate three year degree in an engineering or cognate discipline, and at least two years of documented professional RPL - relevant work experience* since graduation related to the degree.Cognate Disciplines include:systems science; operational management; project management; industrial systems; technology management; information technologyengineering and related degrees (for example: innovation engineering, knowledge engineering, decision support systems engineering, process engineering, green engineering, sustainable engineering,management degrees with substantial engineering components incorporated within their programs English Language Requirements IELTS band: 6.5
