The Plant Protection Department is one of the oldest departments in the College of Food and Agriculture Sciences and was establishedin 1385H. The department continues to play a key role in the educational and research responsibilities of the college. The department has three main branches: Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Pesticides. The teaching and research duties in these branches are carried out by a number of well-qualified faculty members in their respective disciplines assisted by specialized groups of lecturers, teaching assistants, researchers, research assistants and technicians. The staff members of the department including faculty members, administrators, assistants, supporting staff, graduate and undergraduate students are working in joint and collaborative stance.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor degree from an accredited institution.
  • Pass the exam and interview
  • Obtain a minimum score on TOEFL or IELTS. Internet-based TOEFL 61, Computer-based TOEFL 173, Paper-based TOEFL 500, IELTS 6
  • Proving a good conduct and being medically fit.
  • Submitting two academic recommendations from professors who have taught applicant.
  • Employer's approval, if applicant is an employee; in very limited circumstances this approval may be postponed until enrollment into courses.
