Manufacturing of everyday products such as food & drinks, coatings, cosmetics, medicines, etc. requires industrial production processes. In order to fully understand these processes, knowledge of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Food Technology is essential. Within the PFT programme, you will be trained to master these disciplines to the level where you can design/develop, research, troubleshoot or even optimize these processes. Additionally, concepts such as safety, sustainability, social responsibility and internationalization will be introduced and used.

Right from the beginning you will be participating in projects that are as close as possible to the work field. The necessary theory will be provided as lectures and workshops. Participating in these projects will help you to choose a minor and an internship (either in The Netherlands or abroad) later in the programme.  In the final year you can specialize into a chemical- or food technologist. You round off the PFT programme with a graduation internship at a company.
