Our programme combines applied communication studies with in-depth academic analysis. We train our students to think and act like real theoreticians, while focusing on practical matters that are relevant in the field on communication. Communication Science at the University of Twente focuses on the themes that matter most to communication professionals in organizations: marketing & communication, corporate communication, new media & communication and technical communication. You will learn not only how to conduct research, but also how to systematically solve communication problems. Since this Bachelor’s programme is offered by a university of technology, there is plenty of emphasis on technological developments in communication, such as social media. The programme has an international orientation thanks to a number of English-language modules and international internships. We offer education with a personal touch and excellent student guidance. Our graduates receive thorough academic training and are fully capable of solving communication problems in real-world situations. They go on to work as communication advisors, public relations officers, consultants or (online) marketeers.
