How can I make a flexible solar cell out of organic molecules? Can I build a car engine on a molecular level? Can I synthesize life? Can I cure tuberculosis? You will encounter such questions in the Master's degree programme in Chemistry at the University of Groningen. The programme is embedded in an internationally respected research environment; it is related to the Stratingh Institute for Chemistry, the Zernike Institute of Advanced Materials and to the Groningen Biomolecular Science & Biotechnology Institute. Groningen offers a Master's degree for students who already have a solid background in chemistry, and who are eager to expand their knowledge and experience in one of the following specialisations: › Advanced Materials › Catalysis and Green Chemistry › Chemical Biology (also offers an honours programme) › Science, Business and Policy The research project takes place in a research group within one of these specialisations, for example the Stratingh Institute for Chemistry, the Zernike Institute of Advanced Materials or the Groningen Biomolecular Science & Biotechnology Institute. Apart from general subjects including reaction mechanism and spectroscopic meth
