The programme aims to provide theoretical and practical training in Structural Engineering, leading to a Masters degree by Examination and Dissertation. Module details The programme comprises compulsory taught course units, optional course units and a dissertation. To be eligible for the award of a masters degree you must complete ten course-units and a research dissertation. You select three optional units. Typical course units include: Advanced Theory of Structures; Reinforced Concrete Structures; Foundations for Structures; Structural Dynamics and Stability; Materials for Structures; Steel Structures; Engineering Project Management; Pre-stressed and Cable Structures; Advanced Project Management; Ground Engineering; Shell Structures; Earthquake Engineering.
