We have been offering the MBA programme "European Management" since 1990. No other postgraduate programme in business studies takes into account the specific demands of the European economic area to such a degree as the MBA degree available in Saarbrücken. This is because of its subject foci, its internationally renowned lecturers, its international students and its contacts.
Managing with(in) Europe is our vision:
Gain an interdisciplinary understanding of the economic, political, legal and cultural basics of European integration. Learn the skills and abilities needed to lead companies with dealings with(in) Europe.
On the one hand, "Managing with(in) Europe" means all operational and strategic activities necessary for companies working within Europe. On the other hand, "Managing with(in) Europe" relates to the challenge for companies outside of Europe to do business with Europe.
We offer the following courses: International Management, Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility, European Economics, European Law, European Politics, International Accounting, International/Corporate Finance, Marketing and Management in Emerging Countries, International Human Resource Management, Cross-Cultural Management, International Controlling, Service Management, Consumer Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, International Retailing & Logistics.
Teamwork and leadership training play an important role in qualifying top European leaders. Therefore, our students have the opportunity to work on case studies in each class. In workshops, students improve both key competencies and soft skills such as leadership, business behaviour, presentation techniques and team building.
Our programme features high-transfer orientation, case studies, guest lectures and panel discussions. "Learning in action" also includes international study weeks- for instance, in England and Switzerland in 2016.
Practitioners from international institutions and companies lecture on topical issues and share their professional experience. Managers from major companies regularly invite our students to visit their manufacturing facilities and share their insights into European management.
Saarbrücken is located at the border triangle of France-Luxembourg-Germany.
Enjoy the cosmopolitan flair of Saarbrücken in the heart of the European Union!

Educational organisation

The programme comprises 15 compulsory study units and is completed by a final thesis to be prepared within three months for full-time students and within six months for part-time students. Each course week lasts from Monday to Friday and ends with an examination. Our full-time programme can be completed in one year. Part-time students are able to extend the programme to a maximum of four years. Upon completion of their studies, successful students are awarded the title of MBA.
