First to third semester

classic fundamentals of business studies: accounting, marketing, finance, economics, mathematics and statistics, social skills, and a foreign language

Fourth to eighth semester

strategy, management issues, and international/intercultural specialisation, specialisation in either marketing or finance and accounting or global supply chain and operations management/human resource management and organisational design, additional social skills, and language courses

Educational organisation

Study groups of 35 to 40 students, all lectures are held in English.
Fifth and sixth semesters: study abroad
One semester internship
Final semester: Bachelor's thesis

Study abroad unit(s)

Two mandatory semesters abroad for German students, one semester internship abroad or in an internationally oriented company/organisation
A double degree programme is possible with selected partner universities.

Internships

An internship of one semester is an obligatory part of the study programme. It is to be completed after the fourth and before the final semester.
This internship can take place in an international company in Germany or abroad.

Course objectives

The objective of the programme is to prepare students for a management career in international companies. They will develop a global perspective and improve their multilingual and multicultural capabilities.

Language requirements

Excellent English language proficiency, equivalent to at least level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages:

e.g. TOEFL: iBT 79, pbt 550, cbt 213
or TOEIC minimum 800 points, IELTS min. 5.0 points

The following are accepted as equivalents:

"Englisch-Leistungskurs" (with a minimum average of 2.0 (German grade))
school education in English (minimum two years before graduation)
minimum of one-year stay at an English-speaking school, university, or other institution

Basic skills in German required, minimum level A2 of the CEFR

international applicants (whose mother tongue is not German) must choose German as their second language.

For applicants with a German school leaving certificate or German native speakers: Basic knowledge of an additional language (French or Spanish)

French and Spanish: All tests are accepted which correspond to at least level B1 of the CEFR. The following are accepted as equivalents:
- school subject French (taught for a minimum of four years before graduation)
- school subject Spanish (taught for a minimum of three years before graduation)
- "Leistungskurs" (before graduation) in French or Spanish
- minimum of one-year stay at a French or Spanish school, university, or other institution

Academic requirements

University entrance qualification equivalent to the German school-leaving certificate, or similar
proof of English (min. level B2)
proof of German for international applicants (min. level A2)
CV (approx. one page)
letter of motivation in English (max. 300 words)
voluntary test for applicants from non-EU-countries - TestAS (http://www.testas.de)

Enrolment fees

Approx. 300 EUR (subject to change without notice) per semester cover fees for the student services organisation and student parliament groups as well as the cost of a semester ticket which allows students to use the Berlin Public Transport (BVG) for six months.

Costs of living

The cost of living in Berlin is estimated at approx. 850 EUR per month. This includes rent in a student residence hall (private accommodation costs from 300 to 500 EUR per month), living expenses, health insurance, books and material, and incidental expenses.
