Technologists can carry out the following activities:

budget preparation; quality standardization, measurement and control; supervision of technical work; supervision of installation, assembly, operation, repair and maintenance teams; carrying out of installation, assembly and repair work; operation, maintenance and installation of equipment; technical design; carrying out and supervising technical services and works; specialized technical work; inspection; expert examination, evaluation, arbitration, reports and technical opinions; performance of technical roles and functions; teaching, research, analysis, experiments, technical tests, publication of reports and extension work.

Buildings:

Graduates can work on or inspect the construction of affordable housing developments and residential, commercial and industrial buildings; work on constructions involving the manufacture and assembly of premolded concrete parts; work with the manufacture and assembly metal and wooden structures; work in specialized laboratories in the technological control of materials used in civil construction work; produce technical drawings; work in company planning and budget departments; work in the production of concrete in concrete manufacturing plants; teach; and carry out research.

Groundworks and Paving:

Groundworks and Paving – Graduates can work on or inspect the construction of transport routes, earth dams, earth removal and other groundworks; use boreholes to identify subsoil; construct or inspect the foundations of buildings, bridges and large structures; produce technical drawings; work in soil and paving laboratories; work in company planning and budget departments; teach; and carry out research.
