Those whose employment or other educational experience provides evidence of intellectual ability of an equivalent standard to an honours degree are also encouraged to apply.You will also need proficiency in English (IELTS 6.5 or above). If English is your second language, you are required to take the IELTS test.Prospective students who have undertaken a programme of study or have undertaken substantial professional development at Masters level through professional experience within the last five years may be eligible to apply for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). If granted, APL effectively provides exemption from one or more modules up to a maximum of two. English Language Requirements IELTS band: 7 TOEFL iBT® test: 100 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. A number of Master's Scholarships are available for the 2014-2015 academic session at the University of Edinburgh.

Scholarships are available to UK and EU students already accepted on a full-time Master's degree programme in any subject offered by the University.

Award

The scholarships will cover the UK/EU tuition fee up to £7,800. The award of your scholarship will be automatically deducted from your tuition fee.

Eligibility

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit with candidates requiring a first-class or upper second-class (2:1) honours degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent.

Students accepted on an online distance learning programme are not eligible to apply.
