CQUniversitys Master of Management (Human Resources) is designed to develop your knowledge of human resources management concepts and key management skills relevant to modern business. Upon completion of this program you will be able to operate effectively as a human resources professional in both the domestic and international business environment.

Courses within the Master of Management (Human Resources) program cover content such as the theory and practice of effective human resources management, the various HRM functions of planning, staffing and appraising, compensating, improving, establishing and maintaining a workforce, and their inter-relationship and impact on the achievement of organisational objectives, strategies and long-term economic survival. They also cover implementing and measuring change and innovation and examining the various external business and cultural influences and environments in the Asia-Pacific region to demonstrate the differing human resources policies and practices in those economies.

This program is offered on-campus or by distance education, either full-time or part-time, giving you the flexibility to balance study with your work and family commitments.

Program Structure

Students must complete 9 courses (72 units of credit) to graduate with the Master of Management (Human Resources).

These courses will include:

* 6 human resource management related courses; and
* 3 elective postgraduate courses chosen from the Restricted Postgraduate Electives page, provided prerequisites have been met.

Entry requirements for the Master of Management (Human Resources) include: * Two years current work experience plus a bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college, or equivalent; or * An honours degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college, or equivalent; or * A CQUniversity Graduate Diploma of Management, or equivalent.English RequirementsIf you have English as your second language (international or domestic students born outside of Australia, Canada, NZ, UK, Ireland, South Africa or USA), you need to meet different English language proficiency requirements depending on the level of study and/or program you wish to undertake.
