Welcome to the Midwifery Programme at the University of Milano-Bicocca

The Midwifery Programme at the University of Milano-Bicocca is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a professional midwife. Our programme is based on the latest research and evidence-based practice, and is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to provide safe and effective care to women and their families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

The programme consists of a combination of theoretical and practical courses, including anatomy and physiology, midwifery practice, obstetrics, neonatology, and psychology. Students will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of clinical settings, such as hospitals, birth centers, and home births. Upon completion of the programme, students will be eligible to take the Italian Midwifery Exam and become a certified midwife.
