As the market for organic products is growing on a world wide scale, there is a need for experts that can provide knowledge on organic agriculture and the related food systems. Within thisprogrammethe students have the choice to either do a single degree (staying enrolled the entire period of their studies at the University of Hohenheim) or to obtain a double degree from the University of Hohenheim and one of the following partner universities:

* University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Austria
* Warsaw University of Life Sciences Poland
* Aarhus University, Denmark

The two-year M. Sc. Programme 'Organic Agriculture and Food Systems' consists of four semesters, during which 90 ECTS credits coursework and the Masters thesis must be completed. Eight modules are compulsory and cover the core aspects of Organic Agriculture and Food Systems. The individual combination of elective modules gives each student the opportunity to tailor a specific profile, according to his or her own career aspirations. The problem-based interdisciplinary Project in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems constitutes a major focus of the programme, comprising 12 credits.

Students who will decide on the double degree will have to spent the third and fourth semester at on of the three partner universities.Through their stay abroad, students gain a detailed insight into the organic sector in a second European country, broadening their life and work experience culturally and professionally.

Prospective students with higher education entrance qualification and an above average bachelor degree in agricultural sciences or other life sciences, economics or related disciplines.
