The Midwifery Programme at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a professional midwife. Requirements for Midwifery Programme at Catholic University of the Sacred Heart

Are you interested in becoming a midwife? Catholic University of the Sacred Heart offers a comprehensive midwifery programme that will prepare you for a successful career in the field. In order to be accepted into the programme, there are certain requirements that must be met.

Academic Requirements

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all college-level courses. If you have not taken any college-level courses, you must submit a copy of your high school transcript.

Prerequisite Courses

Applicants must have completed the following prerequisite courses: Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, Psychology, and Sociology. These courses must have been completed within the last five years.

Clinical Experience

Applicants must have completed at least 100 hours of clinical experience in a maternity setting. This experience must have been completed within the last two years.

Other Requirements

Applicants must submit a personal statement, two letters of recommendation, and a current resume. Additionally, applicants must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
