This programme provides an opportunity to develop your use of diverse and innovative approaches to teaching and facilitating learning which will lead to increased confidence in your role and enhance your students' experience. The programme enables this through a range of opportunities which include the postgraduate certificate and diploma and the Masters programme. Both the postgraduate certificate and diploma are available as academic practice and academic practice (Technology enabled).


Career Prospects
The programme is part time and so usually those of you who come have careers within education and already have teaching and facilitation responsibilities for students. This programme is designed to support your existing role as a lecturer, however the programme will provide you with new ideas and approaches that will support your development and enhance your profile when seeking promotion with the professional recognition of the programme.

A range of approaches are used across the modules and programme including face to face, on line and students directed activity. The assessment approaches too are diverse and use essays, presentations, reports and online activities.

The programme is open to staff of the University and external colleagues. To apply you should have a role that requires you to teach and facilitate student learning. You should normally have a first or second class Honours degree (or equivalent non-UK qualification). English Language Requirements IELTS band: 5.5 IMPORTANT NOTE: Since April 2014 the ETS tests (including TOEFL and TOEIC) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa.
