Broadband Telecommunication technology is a key enabler for today's information society. It's a field with strong dynamics, so it's crucial that there are constantly innovations.

The special Master's track is broadly based, including, photonic IC's, wireless transceiver electronics, network operation, computational electromagnetics, adaptive signal processing, ultra-fast optical switching and signal coding. Telecommunication is a very broad field, comprising research, development and manufacturing of devices, equipment and systems. Furthermore it covers the development and operation of a broad spectrum of applications. As a graduate you will be able to find employment at a very wide range of companies and institutes. For example you could find work in telecommunication operators, manufacturers of equipment and systems, application developers, service providers, network installation and exploitation companies, research institutes, consultancies and government agencies.

Scholarships are awarded by the TU/e and institutes situated in the Eindhoven region and the rest of the Netherlands (NL): ASML, NXP, Océ, Vredestein and Philips. The scholarships are awarded to students with the best grades from their previous education at respected universities outside NL.
