The Master of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society and is available to those with professional IT experience or with a Bachelors degree in any discipline. All subjects may be done online without the need to attend on campus lectures or residential schools. Our subjects are supported by a host of educational technologies that may include video lectures, lab simulations and chat rooms. The course can also be studied on campus through CSU Study Centres in Sydney or Melbourne.

The course content is flexible and may be tailored to your professional needs. You can choose subjects that relate to networking, programming, security, management, or systems analysis. We offer subjects from such diverse fields as digital forensics, wireless networking, cloud computing, virtualisation, and object-oriented programming.

As a distance education student you can complete the course in two years. You can also fast-track completion by studying additional subjects, which will allow you to finish earlier. You can also choose to study fewer subjects or take temporary leave to fit in with your busy work and personal schedule.

We encourage students from different educational and work-experience backgrounds to apply for this course. We offer an entry pathway for students without an undergraduate degree but with previous IT experience. In keeping with the strong practical focus of the course, we also offer credit for a wide range of industry certificates from vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft and EMC, along with credit for previous academic study.

Apply now and take your career to the next level.
