This master's degree offers advanced training in the area of human rights, democracy and international justice. To this end, it provides a comprehensive, practical and theoretical educational programme from a necessarily interdisciplinary perspective, structured around two paths: the professional one and the researcher one.

The first pathway is focused on boosting the ability to manage, advise or coordinate projects related to subjects typical of the masters, and is aimed at students who want to start or develop their careers in public or private institutions involved in the protection and promotion of human rights. The second pathway provides training to undertake high-level scientific research, and gives access to the doctoral programme.

To enter the Master it will be necessary to have an Spanish official university title in any of the following subjects: Philosophy, Humanities, Law, Political and Administration Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Sociology, Social and Cultural Anthropology, History, Journalism, Social Education, and Social Labour.However, it will also be possible to enter the master in the following cases. On the one hand, according to Spanish Legislation (artículo 16 del Real Decreto 1393/2007), students with a title issued by a higher education institution from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which enables, in the issuing country, to access master programs. On the other hand, those students with a title from outside the European Higher Education Area, who prove an equivalent learning level to official Spanish university titles. That title will also have to enable, in the issuing country, to access postgraduate programs.Nevertheless, this way of access, will not imply, in any case, the recognition of the previous title as equivalent to European ones, neither its recognition to other effects apart from studying in the master program. Admission Rules: * An academic Commission of three professors will be in charge of the admission and assessment of the presented curricula. * In order to decide admission, every candidate will be interview by the Commission or any delegated person. * In order to establish admission the Commission will take into account the following criteria: - Student´s record,- Professional experience in the field of human rights, - Collaboration in research projects or - Enjoyment of scholarships in any area of knowledge participating in the Master. - Coherent orientation of the curriculum regarding research lines of the Program.
