In todays world, where there is a growing need to adopt legal approaches to cope with local as well as global issues, resolving legal controversies require a multi-dimensional perspective based on a conception of different legal disciplines; hence, the lawyer profile who is able to add to the development of society, economy, politics and the legal profession has been changing.

With this respect, Koç University Institute of Social Sciences targets to contribute to the molding of this new lawyer profile, with an understanding based on reliable academic research, as well as practicing experience. We also offer non-thesis programs as well as thesis programs.

The program with thesis is composed of 3 core courses followed by 4 elective courses and is concluded with a thesis. The non-thesis program is composed of 10 courses and a final paper.

Fundamental characteristics of the Koç University LL.M. Programs of Public Law and Private Law, which have been established in conformity with the legislation of higher education, are as follows:

*The elective courses will be accommodated according to the needs of the LL.M. programs.

An international candidate who is currently enrolled as a senior in a high schoool or who has already earned a high school diploma equivalent to a Turkish High School Diploma will be taken into consideration provided that he/she * holds a foreign nationality, * is a native-born Turkish citizen but has ceased to be a citizen by the courtesy of the Ministry of Interior and those among their minors who are registered on the document indicating the cease to be a citizen of Turkey * and who can certify that he/she holds the official document regarding the use of rights granted by Turksih Citizenship Law, * * is a foreign national who has taken Turkish citizenship / dual citizens within this context, * is a Turkish citizen who has completed his/her entire high school education in a foreign country other than Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) (including the ones who have completed their high school education in a Turkish high school in a foreign country other then TRNC), * is a TRNC citizen residing in TRNC, has completed his/her high school education in TRNC and taken the GCE AL exam or a TRNC citizen who has been enrolled in and educated in a college or high school other than in TRNC between 2005-2010 and has taken or is planning to take GCE AL exam. Financial Aid
Koc University graduate programs with thesis (MA with Thesis and Ph.D.) admit students with full tuition waiver; admitted students do not pay tuition.
