The two-year Economics and Management MSc programme gives students an in-depth familiarity with a range of economics and management disciplines. The programme is flexibly structured so that students can specialise in a specific subject or combine economics and management courses.
Graduates in high demand
Economics and management graduates are in high demand. Many graduates hold top executive positions in the corporate world (in financial institutions and consulting firms) or management advisory positions in the public sector (in ministries and local authorities).
In the company of Nobel Laureates
Students on the programme are based at the Department of Economics and Business, renowned for its high academic standards. The department engages in close collaboration with many leading international researchers, including Nobel Laureate Dale T. Mortensen. The departments outstanding research environment includes the Center for Research in Econometric Analysis of Time Series (CREATES), where Nobel Laureate Robert F. Engle serves as a member of the advisory board.
The academic environment at the department is characterised by international diversity: more than one-third both of faculty members and of the PhD students have an international background. The international atmosphere provides the basis for an enriched and exciting student life.
Personal academic profile
The degree programme allows students to create a personal academic profile, either within one or across several of the following fields: finance, accounting, macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics and economics of business. A variety of courses are offered, including project-based courses. There is a progression from introductory courses to more advanced levels, which ensures students academic development. The department offers about 30 elective courses each semester at Masters level.
The Masters degree programme in Economics and Management offers four English language specialisations:

- Elite graduate programme in Quantitative Economics (restricted admission: maximum 20 students each year)
