With the growing impact of globalization and advancing technologies, the food, agrienergy and agricultural industries are in a state of expansion and evolution. As two of the world’s leading countries in agribusiness, France and Brazil are poised to play a fundamental role in the future of the industry.

Audencia Nantes School of Management has partnered with the Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), the leading university in Brazil for business strategy, marketing, and integrated communications programmes, to offer the innovative Master of Science in Food and Agribusiness Management. In this one-year programme, students will learn how to excel in all aspects of food and agribusiness management, and they will earn two degrees from two of the top business schools in France and Brazil:

  • Master of Science (MSc) degree from Audencia Nantes in France
  • MBA degree from ESPM in Brazil

The MSc in Food and Agribusiness Management is supported by generous funding from Crédit Agricole, the largest bank in France and the second largest bank in Europe. Crédit Agricole has a long history of supporting farmers and agribusiness, and is a top employer of Audencia Nantes graduates. Students in this programme have the opportunity to learn from and connect with industry experts from companies like Crédit Agricole, building a network of industry contacts that they can carry into their future careers.

Prepare for the future of food and agribusiness

The Master of Sciences in Food and Agribusiness Management programme aims to produce graduates who will be able to help the global food and agribusiness sectors reinvent themselves. Students will gain the tools to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced by food and agricultural enterprises, to manage all aspects of agribusiness operation, and to market food products effectively.

This programme includes:

  • courses led by industry experts in both France and Brazil (tuition includes round-trip flight)
  • lectures and training with top professionals in the field
  • field trips to a variety of SME, SMI and multinational agribusiness companies
  • a practical thesis project and
  • a hands-on internship.

Students in the Master of Science in Food and Agribusiness Management programme gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the agrienergy and agribusiness industry through courses, projects, field trips, a master’s thesis, and an internship.

Courses are taught by faculty from both Audencia Nantes and Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM); guest lectures and workshops are often led by agribusiness professionals from France and Brazil.

Period 1: Core modules – 20 ECTS

From September to mid-November (10 weeks), at Audencia Nantes School of Management

Courses will be taught primarily by ESPM academic staff, with one course taught by Audencia faculty. Period 3 will also include field trips as well as a field project, in which students work in teams on an industry-related case.

Internship and master’s thesis

Before graduation, students will complete an internship of 4-6 months (Audencia students only) as well as a master’s thesis (each equivalent to 30 ECTS credits).

During the internship, students will gain an inside look into the day-to-day operations and marketing of an enterprise in the food or agricultural sector anywhere in the world. Students are encouraged to use their internship as the basis for their master’s thesis, in which they will examine a problem faced in the agribusiness industry and propose a solution.

-4-year Bachelor’s degree. Candidates can apply during the last year of studies (240 crédits ECTS).- Proficiency in EnglishAdmissions are based on a set of objective criteria. Each criterium adds a number of points, but there are no eliminatory criteria. If a candidate’s final mark is considered to be below the minimum required for admission, a final decision will be made by an Admissions Panel composed of the director of the programme and staff from the Office of International Relations.

Diversity Scholarships of € 3000: awarded to candidates whose nationality was not represented in the last two years and that are above a minimum mark according to admissions criteria. Candidates from the chosen regions who apply early have a higher chance of obtaining an award, as scholarships are only given to the first applicant from the underrepresented country to register in the programme.

Prestigious triple accreditation

  • EQUIS

    The European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) established standards for assessing the quality of management schools (EQUIS). Of several hundred management schools in Europe, only 72 have received EQUIS accreditation.

  • AACSB

    AACSB International - Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business is an international accreditation organisation of business and management schools founded in 1916. The accreditation it awards certifies not only faculty quality but also the academic standard of the programmes offered and of alumni careers.
