SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of mathematics, physics, electronics, humanitarian, and social sciences to find solutions to engineering issues;
  • Technologies and methods of algorithmization and programming;
  • Architecture and periphery of a computer, their inner processes and principles of data-processing;
  • Projection and implementation models and technologies of human being and computer interaction;
  • The Internet web and computer net technologies, fundamentals and optimum implementation of their projection;

COGNITIVE COMPETENCES:

  • Be able to analyse and apply achievements and innovations of modern technologies;
  • Be able to recognize and analyse engineering problems of a computer, its network or computer system employing proper and innovative ways of finding solutions.
  • Be able to apply scientific research/ experiment methods, to select its technological environment and means for data analysis.
  • Be able to select and apply computers, their network and computer system projecting and implementation methods considering financial, technical, and expansion possibilities of an enterprise/organization.

PRACTICAL COMPETENCES:

  • Be able to analyse, install, and exploit computer systems and communicational nets;
  • Be able to specify, project, realize, and test software and computer system considering customers needs;
  • Be capable of evaluating quantitative and qualitative metrics of a computer, their network or computer system;
  • Be able to comprehend the processes happening in a computer and their network and to be able to expand their hardware and software under the needs of an enterprise/organization;
  • Be capable of preparing a standardized engineering documentation of the computer system or software.
  • Be able to design a computer system, its structure, and processes occurring in it using auto projection tools.

TRANSFERABLE COMPETENCES:

  • Be able to present innovations of informational technologies, engineering issues, and ways of finding solutions;
  • Be able to communicate, collaborate in work groups and with clients using organizational competences.
  • Be capable of self improvement and learn things purposefully pursuing the aims using the advantages of informational technologies and knowledge of management after critically evaluating ones knowledge and competences;
  • Be capable of creating production applying rational critical thinking, and productive ways of decision-making considering the legislation and intellectual property.

Requirements

International Students must have at least a secondary education diploma or equivalent certificate recognised by the Lithuanian Government. Students lacking this can be accepted if they have a proof of the successful completion of at least one year of studies at a higher education institution in any country (legalised documents).
