Politics and International Relations with a Year in Japan

The BA degree of Politics and International Relations with a Year in Japan is a four-year programme offered in partnership with Aoyama Gakuin University, Musashi University, and Waseda University in Tokyo and Nagoya University of Foreign Studies, Kyoto Sangyo University and Okayama University, Japan. You will spend your first two years and the final year at Kent (Stage 1, 2 and 3) and the third year (Stage A) in Japan.

This programme will be of particular interest to those wishing to study politics and inernational relations whilst also integrating into a different educational, cultural, social and linguistic enviroment.

While at Kent, you follow the existing programme of the BA in Politics and International Relations and are required to study Japanese in the first year. While in Japan you follow an approved course of study drawn from the course offerings at our partner institutions.

• Access to HE Diploma: The University of Kent will not necessarily make conditional offers to all access candidates but will continue to assess them on an individual basis. If an offer is made candidates will be required to obtain/pass the overall Access to Higher Education Diploma and may also be required to obtain a proportion of the total level 3 credits and/or credits in particular subjects at merit grade or above.
