Do you want to work as a psychologist? You’ve come to the right place. USQ’s Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) is developed specifically for those of you who wish to become practitioners. As such the program places a heavy emphasis on developing both research and professional skills including a deep understanding of the ethical principles that inform psychological practice. In each semester from your first at USQ you will be involved in research projects and in activities that foster psychological professional skills.

Along the way you’ll pick up plenty of practical experience in a supportive environment. You’ll start out doing placements in second year and clock up further hours in third year. Current students are working at places like Drug Arm, Disability Services, Queensland Police, local schools, NGO’s and in the private practices. Psychology can be a challenging profession, but by the end of the degree you will have had exposure to treatment regimes and will have had experience in the administration psychological tests.
